Line by Line Story

Postby Long Fong » February 20th, 2007 3:16 am

Why don't we try to write a story, line by line? I used to do this with my friends to learn English. It should be fun in Japanese. Each person post one sentence in Japanese, and the next poster should work off of all the previous lines to add their new line and make a story and so on. I will make just the title.

たのしいですね、このゲーム!いい考えです。

But it's hard to make a good beginning. I'll give it a try! However if it's no good, please, feel free to erase mine and start again!

今日は、ゆきちゃんはいつもより楽しいです。

I suggest: 今朝、ゆきちゃんはいつもより嬉しいです。

But on with the story...
「私にこんなひどい仕打ちをした彼に、今日きっと復讐してやる」って。

For those without rikaichan,
仕打ち = shiuchi = treatment
復讐 = fukushuu = revenge

:)

(no contribution but, if it's good, it might even end up as an intermediate lesson podcast series.... :twisted: )

私も参加したい!楽しそうです~

彼女は鏡に映った自分の姿を見て、服をチラッと点検した。
クーデターの準備は完璧、「必ず勝つ」を心を決めた。

鏡に映った自分の姿: one's reflection in a mirror
チラッと:adv meaning quick, in a flash, etc.
点検: to look over, check-out
クーデター: coup d'etat (meant here in the figurative, not literal sense)
必ず勝つ: win at any cost
心を決める: to make up one's mind, set one's heart on

そして、かばんと車の鍵をもって、アパートのドアを開けました。しかし、出るまえに、復讐のための一番重要なものが危なく忘れたって覚えました。

危なく= nearly; i.e. "nearly forogt"; but I am unsure if this is correct usage :?:

鞄に脱毛ローションを入れてる間、「毛生え薬じゃない」って。

毛生え薬 = ke hae gusuri = hair restorer
脱毛ローション = datsumou ro-shon = dipilatory lotion

一時間ぐらい後、ゆうきちゃんは彼氏と待ち合わせる所に着きました。彼氏の新しい服装と紙型を見てから、含み笑いました。

Minor typo; you meant to put 髪型 rather than 紙型 :)

買い物しましょうと明るく言ってええと答えました。後でいっしょにスーパーで買い物に行きました。このシャンプーが好きですかと静かに言いました。
