Using "e" particles in Japanese

Hi guys, I wonder that can I say ' Kimi wa dore e ikimasu ka? jn Japanese?'.I know 'doko e ikimasu ka' is much more suitable, but I want to know if my version is correct.Arigato gozaimasu Note:how can we translate 'e no' together into English?

I think Dore ni ikimasu ka? or Dochira e ikimasu ka? ("Which way are you going?") would be better. The e particle is very similar to the ni particle when you're talking about destinations, but I think e more emphasises the journey or the direction, and ni more emphasises the destination. When you use dore, you're usually interested in the destination rather than the journey, right?

I think e no would be translated as several different things: "that lead(s) to", "bound for" (e.g. of a train), "to get to". E.g.:-
Jinja e no kaidan wa doko desu ka? - "Where are the stairs that lead to the shrine?"
Buryusseru kara Pari e no densha - "The train bound for Paris from Brussels."
Toukyou tawaa e no ikikata - "The way to get to Tokyo Tower."

Basically e no is used if the destination relates to a noun rather than a verb.

However, casually native Japanese speakers use dore e ikimasuka.
Therefore, you can use it to your close friend casually.
