Hi everyone!
Wow, this is a very active and productive thread :D
Thank you very much for helping each other.

Now I don't know what to say actually...
On the whole, there were very good points and advice from マイケルsan and トラsan!
So, I'd leave all those solved issues. 8)

I'd like to give feedback on different points.
1. "Hashiru tabi ni, keitai-denwa o motte iku."
Whenever I go running, I take my phone.

The phrase "tabi ni" is closer to "every time". I think what you wanted to say would be better if you
change to "hashiru toki wa itsumo, keitai denwa o motte iku".

Ojiisan wa, yotta totan ni fuzakemasu
As soon as the old man got drunk, he started messing around.

When we use "totan", the verb beforehand should be some kind of action or something immediately happens.
Getting drunk usually is something gradually happens, so this might not be the case.
How about "you to itsumo fuzakemasu" meaning "(he) messes around whenever he gets drunk"?

"Watashi wa Kanada ni tokubetsu na shigoto o hataraki ni iku tsumori."
I intend to go to Canada to work on a special job.

This verb "hataraku" and noun "shigoto" are not always very easy, because the usage can be a bit different
from English ways. "Hataraku" already has meaning of "work" in it, so we don't say "shigoto o hataraku".
You can simply say "shigoto ni iku tsumori" or "hataraki ni ikutsumori". Considering the word "tokubetsu na"
you used, "shigoto ni iku" would suit better ("tokubetsu na" cannot be followed by "hataraku").

"Kanojo wa gaikokujin ni narete made, hazukashigatta."
She showed signs of being shy around foreigners until she became familiar with them.

It could be just typo, but it'd be "nareru made".

"Anata ga unten menkyo no tesuto ni goukaku suru no ka, oshiete kudasai!"
Please tell me if you passed your driving test or not!

This is interesting; just like you wrote in English, we also use "past tense" and say "goukaku shita ka (dou ka)"

"Seishun wa kouen de gomi o nokosu you ni natta."
It has come to be that adolescents have started leaving junk in the park.

When you mention people by "adolescents", it's not very common to use the special words, actually.
It'd be "gakusei" or "kodomotachi". By the way, "seishun" refers to special "time" in adolescent.

Hope it helps!

こんばんは、Some thoughts on the sentences: :D
Day 16 - LIS6L18 - ~te + kuru

"Mazu wa daikagu no koto suki, sorekara shukudai o iyakegasashite(?) kita."
At first I liked university then I started to get sick of the homework.

 まずは大学のこと好きだったが、すぐ宿題をすることには嫌気がさしてきた。
Mazu wa daigaku no koto suki datta ga, sugu shukudai o suru koto ni wa iyakegashashite kita.
At first I liked university, but soon I started to get sick of doing homework.

"Ima made, Kurisumasu de gifuto o moratte kimasen."
Up until now, I got no gifts for Christmas.

 This expression has a sense of ' come about', 'grow to', 'begin to', and it can also mean 'a continuation of something up to the current period of time'. The latter is what I think you mean in the previous sentence, right? Maybe we need to make it a bit clearer by adding a bit more context.

今までに、クリスマスのギフトをもらってこなかったが、まだ十二月の八日ですね。
Ima made ni, kurisumasu no gifuto o moratte konakatta ga, mada juunigatsu no youka desu ne.
Up until now, I haven't received any Christmas gifts, but it is still just December 8th, right?

1.私は叔父の葬式に行くかどうかまだ決めていません。(iku ka dou ka - is the expression here)
Watashi wa oji no soushiki ni iku ka dou ka mada kimete imasen.
I haven't decided yet whether to go to my uncle's funeral.

2.I would just add a verb to the first clause, but I don't know if it is absolutely necessary. Also, it is 'asobi' and not 'abosi'.
悪い天気だったのに、若い子供が海岸に遊びに行った。
Warui tenki datta noni, wakai kodomo ga kaidan ni asobi ni itta.

Dunno how that happened. Mustn't have been paying attention.

But on this one...

I think "ka" would have been correct if the verb was in the casual form:

Day 17 - LIS6L2 - Embedded questions:

"Ju-ji gozen, watashi wa, uchi ni iru ka dou ka wakaranai."
I don't know whether or not I'll be home at 10am.

"Ano hito wa, kashu da ka dou ka oboete imasen."
I don't remember whether or not that person is a singer.

Umm, totally agree.

The second sentence seems fine to me. Some thoughts on the first one.
100% sure that Japanese people tell the time in this way -- (a.m./p.m.)+clock time

"gozen ju-ji ni, (watashi wa,) uchi iru ka dou ka wakaranai."
午前10時に家にいるかどうかわからない。
