I think この国では、 is more natural than 俺たちの国は、
and 教えません。 rather than 教えていません。because it's not just right now that Japanese isn't taught, it's generally not taught.

エミさんは、スポーツについて日記を書きます。
でも、私はその日記を分かりません。

vavanopi8355-san, エリックsan,
kon'nichiwa! :D
Thank you for your help, エリックsan! That's right; この国では and 教えていません are much better!

If you want to say "Emi wrote" as past tense, you can write
エミさんは、スポーツについて日記を書きました。でも、私はその日記が分かりません。
And, "my Japanese is not yet complete"....it might be better if you say "my Japanese is not perfect yet";
私の日本語はまだ完ぺきではありません。/私の日本語はまだパーフェクトではありません。

Hope this helps!

vavanopi8355-san,
first, "I'm trying my best to answer your questions" in Japanese...how about
がんばって質問に答えるようにしています。

And, yes, you can add the past tense でした
日記 is diary, but 日誌 is more like... daily reports or a notebook to keep records about daily activities (in school,
company, etc.) so 日記 would be more suitable. :flower:

vavanopi8355-san,
I'm very sorry for your loss... :(

Well, I'm not very sure how I should translate "i should be here from the beginning".
Do you mean you wish you were there from the beginning? Are you going to say that to relative's family or
someone close? If my understanding is right, it'll be
初めからそばにいたかったです。hajime kara soba ni itakatta desu.
This literally means "I wanted to be next to you from the beginning".
But assuming you're posting this comment (instead of saying it face to face),
初めからここにいるべきでした。 hajime kara koko ni iru beki deshita.
This also should be fine. This means "I should have been here since the beginning".

If you could tell me better about your intention or feelings/messages you want to write, I might be
able to help you better.

And, "in the past ive Done my best to answer your questions " would be
いつも、あなたの質問に答えられるよう最善をつくしてきました。itsumo, anata no shitsumon ni kotaerareruyou saizen o tsukushitekimashita.
Literally, "I've always tryied my best so that I could answer your questions".

Hope this helps

Hope you don't mind if I interrupt with a question...

"Kotaerareru" is the potential form of the verb "to answer", I know that, but what is the "you" on the end?
