I can't speak for Japanese handwriting, but as far as Chinese goes, if you use my 'neatness' as a standard, there are plenty of people who write worse than me, and at the same time plenty who write much more conscientiously. If you go to a Chinese medical hall, the people who write the ingredients lists are almost writing calligraphy (i.e. very quick and very rough). Ultimately it's all for communication; as long as your reader understands your writing, it's all good.

All you need to do is click on it and it'll open it bigger for you, it's actually kind of large so I thought a thumbnail preview would be best, that way it didn't make the forum page really wide.
