How do you say this Kanji? 普通盛

When you order a don, they ask you regular or large. 普通盛 and 大盛

How do you say it? Can someone give me the hiragana for it?

i was just wondering, can we use "chisai" for small.... oh... wait "futsuu" is normal....

so it's chiisai (小さい), futsuu (普通), and ooki (大き) for the three famous sizes, ie, small, medium, large size?

can these used for things other than food stuff? maybe boushi (hat) for instance?

i use 小さい方 and 大きい方 for food also.
i think that 大盛 literally refers to a regular size with some extra. (so it's 1 of 2 sizes available).
普通 doesn't mean medium, it just means 'regular' - so again, it's usually 1 of 2 sizes.



for clothes, you're probably best off using Sサイズ、Mサイズ、Lサイズ

盛（もり）　is a word in its own right, meaning a helping or serving. I've never heard 盛鉢（もりばち） before, but according to 大辞林 it's more a word for fruit bowls and that sort of thing. It doesn't give any usage examples though, so I can't be sure. At any rate it doesn't seem to be a commonly used word.

i use 小さいの方 and 大きいの方 for food also.

I hate to be an obnoxious grammar nazi (again), but I'm pretty sure 大きいの方　is also ungrammatical - it should be 大きい方　or 大きいのの方.
