About a translation in grammar bank

Both are ok. Japanese doesn't have a future tense like English remember. Whether or not it's about now or the future depends on the context. Just remember that "makes him happy" is a habitual action, as in, when he hears this news (or other news like it) he's inclined to become happy, this is when you'd use 幸せにする. However if you're talking specifically about his actions right now, after hearing some good news, you'd say 幸せにしている.
