Help in Translating

Postby helu » May 27th, 2007 9:23 am

Hi guys. Sorry, I really need help with the following phrases:

この一歩が母さんいたのリングへ続いてるんだ
勝ってみせる!ここに立たせてくれた先輩の想いに応える為に
そしてこの一年間の結果を出す為に

Knowing roughly what it means is one thing. Translating it in proper English is another.

This is my attempt:
This is another step toward the (wrestling) ring my mum used to be.
I'll win, for the sake of seniors who given me their support.
And to show the result of my one year (training).

How would you guys phrase it to sound more natural in English?

And I have some other questions. How do you type the 'zu' for tsuzuku with Japanese IME? What does tataseru mean?
