As you may can see, I am playing World of Warcraft^^

Well, my Guild the <Shadows in the Light>　gave me the task to lead the Guildbank. I decided to make 2 chars. One is the "Bank of Shadow" and the other the "Bank of light". But to make it a bit more interesting, I'd love to give them japanese names ^.^

A litle problem is the limitet number of letter (just 12 chars)

So I decided for:

Kabenoginkou and Hinoginkou

But afaik "hi" means also fire so this would match better to the "red" char

Maybe I should change their roules...but the "blue" look too kawaii to be the "evil" part

do you have any other ideas? Or a better word for "bank"

'hinoginkou' sounds a bit like princess's bank or day's bank. The trouble is (as you have found), that much of the meaning is lost when japanese phrases are represented in romaji. It might be clearer to lose the 'bank' reference and just call them 'hikari' (A popular japanese girl's name) and 'yami', which is darkness rather than shadow (Not a popular girl's name for some reason, but has a 'mi' ending similar to japanese girls names.) - I'm assuming your characters are female from the picture.

What about Akariginko and Aneïginko?

あかりぎんこ　(akariginko) sounds like 'bright silver child'　(明かり銀子) due to ginkou being shortened to ginko. But that's fine, because the -ko ending now looks a bit like child (子) which is a common female name ending. I like it.

あねいいぎんこ (aneiiginko) sounds like 'older sister good silver child' to me. I can't figure out what you intended. Maybe consider using dark (kurai) to give くらいぎんこ (kuraiginko) which sounds like 'dark silver child' (暗い銀子)

Edit: I just realised that you used akari (lamplight), which I mistakenly read as akarui (bright). Personally I think akurui would be a better choice, i.e. akaruiginko (明るい銀子)

I think I will choose akariginko for the blue one, it sounds doumo kawaii^^

with aneiginko im not realy happy
aneiginko is derived (dont know if this is the right verb^^) from 暗翳/暗影 (あんえい)

kuraiginko sounds much better(and darker^^) then aneiginko, arigatou

Edit: Finaly (hope so^^), I decided for Hikariginko and Kuraiginko ^.^
