Japanese photography universities.

I am a photography student in London, and I take alot of influence from Japanese photography and the approach to snapshot photography, with a subjective documentary type style.
I will be going to Japan for an exchange to a university that holds a Photography Art degree.

2 questions. Does anyone know of good art universities in Japan. And also, about credits. Does anyone know about the credit system there? I need to get the same amount of credit in one term there as i would here.
