Testing my typing in Japanese!

はい、learning Japanese does make me feel like a child. I can't hold a "real" conversation yet because I don't know all the big words! Just gotta keep trying

日本語は　かわいい、　でも　こわい　です。

Yay, I get to try saying things and see if they made any sense to anyone!

Just to make things difficult I have Japanese friends who routinely write こんにちわ　or こんちわ　instead of the (more) correct こんにちは。　
But then no-one should use my English spelling as an example either.

The other one to be careful of is dewa as in dewa mata or dewa arimasen.
It's では　not でわ
(では is often shortened to じゃ　especially in speech)
Apparently young children make this sort of mistake.

Uh, yeah, junior high school kids make that same mistake.
And they love to use すいません rather than すみません in their formal writing.
I should be making a list of their Japanese mistakes, just to make all of us feel better.
The teachers are horrible, they read aloud all of the really bad mistakes to everyone else in the office.

すいません is commonly used as a colloquial すみません.
