My friend was asking how would you say in Japanese:

"only love can conquer hate" in Kanji/Kana

It's not quite what you asked for but 'Love thine enemy' is 'nanji no teki o aise yo' (汝の敵を愛せよ). Apparently a lot of biblical phrases made it over to Japan.

There's a lot of words for love, all meaning slightly different things, so a direct translation is problematic and might not capture your intended meaning. You might consider using 'jihi' which is the compassion of Buddha , 'nikui' is probably ok for hate, but which verb would be best to use with 'jihi'. I'm not sure, so am wimping out of a translation.
