Do you want the phoenetic equivalent of your name in Japanese or the do you want the meaning of your name to be the same? There's almost certainly no way that you can get both.

Maybe:
神育 ("Shin'iku" = raised by God)
益荒男 ("Masurao" = manly man)

Masurao is an actual Japanese word, and I invented Shin'iku.

Are we meant to put our name in Family name, Given name in to the box or other way around? Text was ambiguous.

Foreign names don't "translate" to Japanese, they have rough phonetic equivalents and honest people write those in katakana.

In my opinion any conversion to a Kanji name is lying to yourself if you think it has any relation to your western name.

This site just uses an algorythm or something, you can enter any old crap in the text box and get a 'name' back.

for instance I entered the md5 hash of the word moron (which is 2da1ab427df46b3cf8c7b28536c41fa5 ) and got the name 松尾 Matsuo (tail of a pine tree) 健太 Kenta (healthy and plump)
