What is Akanuketeru?

Postby Sam_sam » January 10th, 2017 1:44 am

Hi All,

Samara desu. Hajimemashite, domo yoroshiku onegaishimasu.

I'm almost a complete newbie to Japanese.
One of the things I've quickly encountered with learning Japanese is that they have words to describe actions, states, and emotions etc, that the English language does not have a direct translation for.

Today my boyfriend described me as "akanuketeru" but he is at a loss for translating that into English for me.

I was hoping someone here could explain the term?

Many thanks in advance.

Looks like the "+te iru" form of 垢抜ける, which would mean he's calling you "refined."
