Politeness Level

Postby hoamanda_500464 » August 5th, 2016 5:19 pm

Politeness levels are confusing. How do we know when to use which for different situations?

For a common situation in a restaurant for example, how do I say "Can I have some wasabi?"

Konnichiwa.
Well…firstly you need to distinguish statements from questions.
Statement
Statement this sentence is grammatically correct however, you don’t need to use 持ってくる at restaurants.
Question
Question
Statement
Incorrect sentence
Secondly, we have a rule which is the longer the politer.
Following the rule, please use four sentences below.
High politeness
Law politeness
