Kansai dialect

Hi there,

I'm moving to Japan next spring, and I told my company I would prefer Kansai region, because it looks interesting, and seems like there's a lot to do there.

However, I'm a bit concerned about the Dialect. Would the content of this website apply to the Kansai region, or is it more directed at Kanto?

If the dialect is too different from standard Japanese, I might tell the company that I would prefer a different location, like Kanto, because I wouldn't be able to understand anything in Kansai.

Any advice?
