I'm told this is like "~nai to ikenai" - "kinai to ikenai."
However, I'm also told that "~te ikanai to" is not a form that you can use with all verbs. For example "kite ikanai to" is correct but "yasai o tabete ikanai to (I must eat vegatables)" is incorrect.
So, when is it correct, when is it incorrect?
