I used Jpod for a week till my trial period ended then I decided to get the premium membership for a year. So yes now I have a year to study jap on this website/app.
For the first week, I've started on Survival phrases season 1. Its all going great and Im learning phrases. Then I decided to listen to a lesson in Newbie Season 1 and also realised that Introduction has more lessons there on Japanese culture etc. Now, I'm quite confused as to whether I should finish Survival phrases 1 and 2 before moving on to Newbie Season 1 or to start all the way from intro (stopping my current flow in lessons) and learn Japanese culture (Although Im thinking this can come after I'm more proficient).
My goals:
Ultimate: For Japanese to be my second language, to be proficient in reading, writing and speaking
Short term: I'm going to Japan in 2 months so I thought 'survival phrases was good'.
Others: As much as I am going to Japan and need survival phrases, should I really spend 2 months just learning survival phrases? And not starting on the actual lessons?
