Punctuation

Postby jgdeschenes5595 » November 15th, 2014 7:22 pm

みなさん、こんにちは。
Up to now (I am at the beginning of the Beginner Level) , I have mainly seen periods and commas, sometimes question marks and exclamation marks, and also colons. (=> 。、?!:)
I would like to have a list of the punctuation signs use in Japanese, with an explanation of their usage.
Could someone tell me where to find such a list ?
Oh! by the way, I would also like to know if the period (。)is written clockwise or anticlockwise.
Thank you for your help !

デシェヌさん、
こんにちは。
。is a full stop and clockwise.
We don’t have any rules for ,.
When a sentence is long, ‘,’should be put.
?, ! and :are not used in formal Japanese sentences.
Other definitions are same as English.
