Study Plan Recommendation

Dear Jpod101 community!!!

My wife and I will be moving to Japan on October 16th. We need all the help we can get in order to learn japanese. We'll be taking 3 hours of Japanese every day in the mornings in a traditional school format using the minna nihongo books, we've almost finished book I.

We have questions -

What tools work for you? How often do you study?

What does your study plan look like? Are there any game shows / radio programs that you enjoy watching for practice?

If you live in Japan what was your journey to get there? If you live in Tokyo, where is cheap to live that isn't seedy?
