It sounds like it will be very good...but $ 180.00 is kind of a pricy subscription. *sigh*
Whats everyone else think?

It's much cheaper than other regular language courses that only run for like ten days so, you should not complain. I agree with you though, but it's probobly worth it.

My own thoughts at the moment is that I'll probably end up subscribing, but... for now I know that there are a HUGE amount of free resources out there that I'm not making any use of at all. For example, all the web sites that people have mentioned over the last couple of months, the Japanese news from NHK that is shown on a TV station here, the books I own that I'm only halfway through, the podcasts I've listened to but havnt gotten around to revisiting and *studying* yet, the Kanji flashcards I made but never looked at very much... etc...
For the moment I cant justify spending any money when I'm not even using what I already have.

Hmm, I'm torn. On the one hand I'm not exactly happy about paying for something that was once free (even if it wasn't as good). On the other hand, once you've paid for something, you'll be surprised how you suddenly become more motivated to use it! If I actually pay, I'll end up using japanesepod more often and learning more Japanese. If I didn't pay, I wouldn't take it so seriously, and so I wouldn't learn as much.

One thing I've realized over the years. You have nothing without motivation. If something motivates you, it's worth paying for.

I'll be probably end up subscribing. Like was mentioned before, if I pay for something I tend to want to make full use of it. Of course I'll try the 7 day free trial first though just to see how useful all these extras are.

I've really been wanting a way to quiz myself on these lessons. So I'm looking forward to that.

The podcasts are still free. It's the premium site content that's $180 or whatever.
