Hi everyone. I started learning Japanese through Japanesepod101.com a couple of years ago, and I'm now up to the lower intermediate lessons. As I'm working my way through them, I've been wondering who else is doing these lessons at the same time as me. It'd be great if people could introduce themselves, and we can say hi and practice together here and in the lesson comments. Here is my 自己紹介

Joe and Clem, thanks for your replies! I've only just read them now (I didn't get an email notifying me that you'd posted, or I would've replied earlier). I was finding the lower intermediate season 4 a bit difficult, so I'm now going back over season 1 for review. It would be great if we could practice together.

And　私は日本に二回おきなわに住んでいる友達に会いに行ったことあります is better, as well because 見る　indicates “seeing passively” but 会う　indicates “meet, have chat and do something together”.

おきなわは楽しいですね。美味しい料理しい、安いお酒しい、きれいな海がありますよ。でも夏にはとても暑いだと台風があります。

名古屋に行ったことがありません。でも名古屋の近くたかやまと言うところに行ったことがあります。景色はきれいだからたかやまがすすめしています。

Hi Joel, Okinawa is fun. There's delicious food, cheap drinks, nice beaches... But its really hot in summer, and they get typhoons. I haven't been to Nagoya, but I've been to a place near Nagoya called Takayama. Takayama has really pretty scenery, I'd recommend it.

You should use a noun modifying clause.

Should be
景色はきれいだからたかやまをすすめます。
すすめるis a transitive verb so it takes particle を.
When you recommend something,, you should use just ますform.
