Help with translating

Postby monica.susan.h_498418 » March 26th, 2014 4:10 pm

Hi! I am taking a Japanese class and have an assignment to answer a series of questions. For this assignment, the directions are "Please choose one specific event you had in your past and answer all questions about that event."
My questions are:
1. Kinoo, gakkoo-ni ikimasen deshita-ne?

2. Doshitan desu-ka?

3. Sore-de doshimashita-ka?

4. Kyou, kibun-wa doo desu-ka?

Questions 2 and 3 are confusing me. The teacher gave an example of a field trip as the event to use for this assignment. It sounds like it's asking about being sick or something. The questions "doshitan desu-ka?" and "doshimashita-ka?" are very similar, aren't they? They both have a meaning of "what happened?" or, more frequently, "what was wrong?"

Can anyone help me figure out the meaning of the questions in context? Thanks!

Monica-san,
こんにちは。

I'm actually pretty bad at reading romaji, but if I get it right, the questions should be:

1) Yesterday, you didn't went to school, right?

2) Why was that? What was wrong?

3) What did you do about it?

4) How are you feeling today?

I can't put that in relation to any free topic or any school trip... :/ But maybe I'm getting something wrong.

くろくまさん、
Thank you for the help.

Monica-san,
Next time if you have this kind of question, you should ask your teacher.
The reason why is I can’t see the context and the aim of your teacher which mean the translation is wrong.
However, general translation is below.
1. You didn’t go to school yesterday did you?
2. What happened to you?
3. And then, what did you do?
4. Today, how are you feeling?
