Sumimasen…
First i would like to apologise if the question i ask might be a lot
i have try to find the meaning with dictionary & google translate.
i can understand the overall meaning, but i don't understand the grammar, as to why the word is used and the meaning literally… so i will really appreciate if there's someone who could help explain them to me… >__<
i wrote in more details as what element i don't understand in each sentence, below...
tasuketekudasai >__<

ある国に、タマろという名前の、頭はよいのにあまり自信のない王子様がいました。
aru kuni ni, tamaro toiu namae no,atama wa yoi noni amari jishin no nai ouji-sama ga imashita.
>what is the purpose of "toiu" there ?
>whats the meaning of "amari" jishin no nai ?
amari is not very, jishin is self confidence, but nai is no…
so literally its not , not very confident (meaning he's confident?) i know i think i understand it wrong…

あらゆる民に愛される偉大な王様でしたが、そう思うとよけいに自信がなくなります。
arayuru tami ni aisareru idai na ou-sama deshita ga, sou omouto yokei ni jishin ga nakunarimasu
>"aisareru" is potential of being loved? and "idai" is greatness?
i thought the overall meaning was the king greatly beloved by his people.
but what i understand literally was "the greatness want to be loved king by every people…??? i know its wrong… :'(
> i don't understand the second one at all… "sou omouto yokei ni" (i've tried google translate , but it makes no sense…)
sou is so… omou is think. but what is "sou omouto" ?
"jishin ga nakunarimasu." i know i think this one means to "lost the self-confidence"…

それなのに、 ある時、父親がこう言ってきたのです。
sore na noni, aru toki, chichi-oya ga kou ittekitano desu
> i search in dictionary that "sore na noni" is a phrase (but & yet), so i understand it as (inspire of that), but i think it don't fit the story line if using inspire of that… what is the correct meaning of it within this sentence ?
>itte is from iu, tell… what is "ittekitano" means ?

「そろそろわしも引退して、お前に位をゆずろうと思う」
sorosoro washi mo intaishite, omae ni kurai wo yuzurouto omou
> i don't understand the "omae ni kurai" and "yuzurouto omou" meaning…
"kurai" in dictionary is rank , so "omae ni kurai" , means your rank ? doesn't make sense to the story
i think its better to be legacy/throne… or am i mistaken ?

王子様はよろこぶどころか大いに困りました。
ouji-sama wa yorokobu-dokoro ka ooi ni komarimashita
> i can't find the meaning of "yorokobu-dokoro"…
> what is the "ka" purpose there ?

王様になる自信なんて、まったくありません。
ou-sama ni naru jishin-nante, mattaku arimasen.
> what is "jishin nante" & "mattaku arimasen" ?
