Washing machine control panel

Postby elinlissheim9464 » March 13th, 2013 6:49 am

Hi there helpful people!
Just wondering if someone could help me translate the four remaining programs on my washing machine that I simply can't figure out despite vigorous google searching, haha.

- let the machine decide which cycle (hope it's not capricious)

- thorough (long?) rinse

- tumble dry

- drum wash

I think that's right anyway.

 some home electric appliances have very interesting expressions on, right?
Thank you very much for help,

elinlissheim9464-san, don't worry; even if you choose おまかせ, your washing machine won't work "accoding to its mood". It will do the work correctly

The four buttons bottom left are: wash, continue, evaporate?, dry
洗い : arai - wash
すずき : suzuki - continue (not "motorbike";-)
脱水 : dassui - evaporate, dehydrate, desiccate
乾燥 : kansou - dry

I'm not sure how the last two differ in terms of clothes washing.

On the left:
ふろ水 : furosui - bath water? no idea.
予約 : yoyaku - program a time

On the right:
ナイト : naito = night. Again, no idea. Some quiet mode?
F : ?
Your own house style?

Further right:

スタート : start/stop

Hope that helps.

I think you misread the display- its actually すすぎ not すずき
すすぎ is rinse.

jugski1612 san,

I hope you could wash your clothes by using your washing machine...
ericf san's answer is almost correct.
and yes, すすぎ is rinse.

ふろ水 is used when you take water from bathtub by using attached hose.

I have no idea for ナイト、F、わが家流...sorry.

If you have further question, ask me again :D

Honestly interpreting how to operate a washing machine is more than reading the panel- you'd need the manual and that's even more difficult for non-Japanese readers. Simple settings OK but others need the manual.
