Haha. The memories... Heian godan! It's been a few years since the last time i walked that. Makes me long for the dojo. Except for the kata, the clips remind me of movies i used to make with friends (no i don't have the tapes any longer). Haha we were making a b-film thing called "the Saga of the Indestructible Soldiers". Unfortunately, but perhaps not unexpected, it was never finished. Maybe some other time..
The sound effects were nice! Especially the bone-breaking stuff. Where did you get the samples? I hope that Nathans definition of G-rated in the forum rules is Japanese-flavoured.

Even though we were half way trying to be serious, I'd still rate these fights as "comic violence" just because we're such terrible actors. LOL!

"The saga of indestriuctible heroes" sounds hilarious!
Dang you for misplacing the tapes! :P

The sound effects we just found at free SFX sites. There wasn't much to choose from that was free. I think we scrounged up every last one.

Wow, not bad. You remind me of a guy at work who modeled the planet's rotation and the position of the sun with respect to San Francisco in a graphical modeling program so that he could figure out the best place to put his desk in his new apartment to get a healthy amount of light but no glare on the monitor for the most months of the year. (It was a huge desk so it was a pain to move once it was set up.) I mean that in a very admiring way.

Hmm, that post sounds really odd now. What I was trying to say was that this guy was really passionate and did some very cool things, which impressed everyone and got him into the digital fx department of a movie studio.

I particularly liked The Master Disaster - it was nicely edited and fast-paced, and the music and sound were great. Good broken leg impression. Those crunches at the end gave me the willies though.

Actually I've got this one more if anyone liked the other two.
I don't think it was done as well though, which is why I didn't post it in the first place.
