Which app is the best for intermediate or higher levels

Postby spidey » May 30th, 2013 12:13 am

I'd appreciate your advice on the best app to read lesson notes on my iPod Touch version 5.

When I tap the center screen I cannot see the lesson notes. It will only flip over to a playlist.

Is there a really great app for reading the lesson notes while listening to the content?
I hope there's one that would allow me to highlight and save my own personal vocab list as I'm studying each new lesson.

Surely these things can be done online at the website, but I'm hoping to download an app that will all me to work with the lessons I've previously downloaded later when I'm off line.

Thank you for your help!

Hi spidey,

We just launched a new layout on our site. It's much more user friendly. You can follow the audio with the Line-by-Line tool. Have you checked it already?
You can download both audio and Lesson Notes on your iPod using the feed tool on the website, and study it even when offline.
Let's wait if anyone has another option for checking the Lesson Notes on an iPod. ;)

Thank you for your kind suggestions. Recently I've been having a tough time getting my new ipod touch to sync up the newest listening and written materials. I sure would like to use them simultaneously. I was thinking of getting one of the Japanesepod101 apps but I read that a past user wasn't happy that he had to pay for the lessons an additional time. I wonder if it's really true though. He said that the app insisted on charging for downloading files even though he had a full membership.

I just bought POCKET 3 so I could get the written material to study later off line but it won't let me have any lessons without PAYING again! What a rip off! I have a premium membership and I have bought your app and now I need to pay for each lesson AGAIN????

Your app Pocket 3 doesn't allow users to log in at all. It only charges for each lesson.
This should be stated clearly.

Presently there isn't a convenient way to smoothly download audio and PDF for side by side studying. In many of your audio lessons the teachers tell the students, " just double tap to see the lesson notes". How nice that would be if only it were really that easy!

How about allowing premium members to access lesson material via your Pocket 3 app?

The answer to my problem is ... an app called icatcher

Super fast downloads with class notes.

¥250 yen for this app has solved my problems.

I hope it can help others too!

Hello,
Thank you for your message. The applications are currently stand-alone applications and are unable to interact with our language learning websites. Pocket3 is a stand-alone application that is not connected to the website account. So, if you have a premium membership on the website, you do need to pay again for lessons.
The PDF files referred in the Pocket3 lessons are available in our language learning website. Please visit the respective language that you are interested in and sign up. The PDF is restricted to Basic and Premium members only. However, the content of the PDFs is largely contained in the different lesson sections in Pocket3. I do apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any questions, just let us know.

Sincerely
Piotr
