Question about 掛かってきたんです

I am going through the listening comprehension activities from nakama textbook, and I've ran across a peculiar sentence that I cant break up into bits for some reason.

昨日の晩、液化から家に帰る時、けいたい電話に友達から電話が掛かってきたんです。だから三十分ぐらい歩き乍ら話しました。

Can anybody help explaining how the sentence(that I coloured in red) works, what is the role of each of the following parts in the sentence:
けいたい電話に / 友達から / 電話が / 掛かって / きたんです

And perhaps what grammar points should I go over to make sense of it.

And lastly what is the meaning of 掛かってきたんです?

I think the phrase means "...as I got a call from a friend on my mobile" and I think it breaks down into four parts (not five).

けいたい電話に　⇒　on (my) mobile (or cellphone).

友達から　⇒　from a/my friend.

電話が掛かってきた　⇒　I got a call. I think this is a standard expression for getting or taking a phone call.

んです　⇒　a contraction of のです meaning that the phrase or sentence is explanatory.

I can't understand the first part of the sentence, though. What does 液化から mean?

Regarding 液化 -- that was a typo. It should have been: 駅から.
