Flashcards on Android

Postby dbeatmaker2395 » January 28th, 2012 12:00 pm

I had some success a while back using the flashcards through the browser on my android phone, and recently I was considering to get a Galaxy tablet for my studies, however today at the store I tried the Japanesepod101 flashcards on a DOCOMO connected tablet and found the flashcards would not load. It gets all the way to to the point where I'm able to click the "Start Session" button, but then im only presented the flashcard background with no flashcard. Afterword I tried with my Android phone again and found the same, although im certain it used to work (aside from the audio at least).

Any chance the flashcard app can be made compliant with the android webkit browser? (I also tried Firefox for Android, same result)

It would be great to bring Japanese101pod.com along on a tablet for my long train commute each day, and the flashcards are a crucial part of the site for me.

Thanks!

Hi dbeatmaker2395,
Very sorry for the late reply - this has been passed on to the flashcard team, I will let you know what they say regarding the flashcards on an Android device :)

Use my android extensively for standard RSS feeds, would love some info on both the flashcards and feeds for android. Thanks !

Thanks for your input elyx, a couple more posts in this thread, and we might just get somewhere. I'm not holding my breath just yet though.

Hello everyone,
We are having our Android developer take a look at it, but they have told me that it is a tough issue, and so I'm afraid that we can't promise anything just yet :( Thank you for leaving your suggestions and feedback, though, I am making sure that all of it gets passed on.
