I'm seriously considering spending 4-6 weeks in Osaka this summer taking an intensive Japanese course. There are two options that I've found that look promising: the ARC Academy
http://en.arc-academy.net/course/Intensive/index.html
and the Osaka YWCA College course:

Based on the ARC brochure I think I am probably their Advanced level. At JapanesePod101.com I usually comprehend the Upper Intermediate dialogs on the first hearing (80% or better), but I usually have to study the Advanced Audio Blogs to understand them very well. The Osaka course seems like (with fewer participants) it might not necessarily fit my level, but it is more compressed and has some other attractive features.
Anyway, I am wondering if anyone on this site has any experience with either of them. I am probably older than most of the students will be, but (at least the ARC school) is mostly 20-30 somethings, which I expect I can relate to just fine.
