Phone interview with firm in Tokyo

Postby laump43487 » March 3rd, 2012 7:05 am

Hey all,

So I am scheduled to have an interview with GS Tokyo in the coming week. This would be my first time having a phone interview let alone in Japanese. I have studied Japanese for around 8 years in Australia, but usually I speak with a lot of Japanese friends, so for the past 8 years I have not really used fully correct grammar and polite form. Obviously, it would be extremely rude in the interview to speak like such, so anyone have any tips regarding how to correct this problem relatively quickly?

On another note, for those who have had such experience with receiving phone interviews with large Investment Banks that is located in a foreign country, would they ask you any technical questions such as the market and/or international relationships and/or politics? I am somewhat worried regarding that because I would have learnt any technical terms.

Thanks in advance.
