Learning how to write kanji within the lessons?

Postby shanelgarvin5695 » September 27th, 2011 5:10 am

I am a very new member to japanesepod101 and I am already very much enjoying the lessons. I have a premium subscription and I'm really liking all the learning tools i am provided with. One of my biggest interests, as well as one of my biggest challenges, is learning kanji. I know about the kanji close up, and other tools for learning kanji , but I cannot seem to find the stroke order for the individual kanji in the lessons. The stoke order is not in the kanji close up, so I don't know where to find it. I know stroke order can be fairly important in japanese, especially in kanji, so i'm a bit hesitant to practice the kanji in each section for fear that I will be writing them incorrectly. Am I missing one of the features of the website or I am supposed to just write the kanji in whatever order works best for me?

Hi shanelgarvin!
Welcome to JPOD :)

If you are looking for stroke orders, we have a page that is a giant kanji database that contains animated stroke orders for each one.
It's still in beta, so please let us know if you run into any issues.

We also have a page that has detailed information on basic kanji, including a picture that shows the correct stroke order.
