I am studying japanese, I study with my ipod

Postby mojoe9876040 » April 25th, 2011 11:25 pm

Konnichiwa! I am a begginer at learning japanese, so far I have learned a few simples phrases, the next thing I will learn with confidense is to say that I am studying japanese...but I also want to learn how to say that I am studying using my ipod. So I might say something like this to start off...

Konnichiwa, hajimamashite Joseph desu. Yoroshko onagai shimasu. Igirisujin desu, nihongo wo naratte imasu.
Hello, pleased to meet you I am Joseph. Please be kind to me. I am english, I am learning japanese.
(Any corrections?)

Ide also like to expand on that scentance and also say that I am studying japanese but I only speak a small amount. How would I say, My japanese is very basic?

I know that Doko-de benkyó shimasu ka means Where do you study?. I might reply with Uchi-de benkyó shamisu which means I study at home, but I would also like to say I study using(or with) my ipod. How would I say that?

Some typos:

hajimemashite
yoroshiku
onegai

I would say "jibun de benkyou simasu." "I study on my own".
iPod wo tsukaimasu. "I use an IPod".

It's hard to give good sentences without some context.

nihongo wo yoku hanasemasen.

should be fine for saying something like, "My Japanese isn't very good."

If you want to be specific about studying with your iPod, you could also say something like "iPod de benkyou shimasu", or "iPod wo tsukatte benkyou shimasu". :)
