"iraremasu"?

I've been looking at the net to find the meaning for this... Since -masu is a suffix, if you remove it, it will be "irareru", right? I've searched for both terms, looked at several japanese dictionary websites, I can't get any info on these words. Would anyone know what this word means (by it's plain form, of course)?

It's the potential form of いる.

I'm not sure, but maybe it means "can put."
iremasu or ireru - put --> iraremasu - can put

@Pixieczar: thanks... it made the sentence much more clear I think... The sentence was...

'boku wa boku de iraremasu ka'

I guess it means

'Where can I put myself'

Am I right?

Sorry. I asked a friend and he said, it's potential for irimasu. Depending on the context, it could mean ability to need or ability to insert. So, the sentence could either mean, "Where am I needed?" or "Where can I put myself?"

Again, somebody please correct me if I'm wrong since I'm a beginner myself =)

Why did you both skip over what Javizy said? He was correct. 僕は僕でいられますか？ is like "Can I be myself?"

He didn't explain much further so I didn't understand. If he gave more explanation, I would've understood... I am not too good with English myself, so more explanation = more understanding. :D
