Japanese movie/TV torrent site?

If you like romantic comedies, 肩越しの恋人(katagoshi no koibito) is a great one. Great actors and actresses, and I find myself laughing out loud, even when I don't understand it terribly well!

I feel dumb for asking this, but could someone explain to me how torrents work? I did try to google it, but got confused rather quickly. I would love to find a way to access japanese dramas and movies, so I'd like to understand how this works and what I'd need to do.

First of all you need to install a program like Utorrent.
Next choose a site ( one of the best is D-addicts.com), and select the label "torrent" .
If you know the title of the drama you can tipe it, otherwise follow the criteria indicated by the different labels.
When you see the title you are interested in. click on download.
The download window opens,click "open"
Finally the U-torrent window opens; click "ok" to download the file.
You can find Raw-files, without subtitles and hardsubbed files( with subtitles in English or in Japanese).
If you download the Raw file you can add subtitles in any language(check the list on the link "subtitles index") and add them when you see the file.

If you download shows, try to find them in .mkv format, and download a player that supports them. They're becoming pretty common, especially with anime. They let you turn off the subtitles, so you can actually listen and not just tune out the words.

I understand the issue here and how easy and tempting it is to download stuff for free but I wonder what the site policy is about openly discussing pirated material dowloading of which is, as I hope you all realize, illegal.

If you look on the first page of this topic you'll see that Jessi a jpod101 team member has commented on this without threatening to close down everyone who's commented on this topics account, so im gonna assume were ok to talk freely about this kind of stuff. And until the movie and tv industry start to compete with torrents and make there stuff more accessible and reasonably priced people will continue to download stuff from torrent sites. Fair enough . Well, just to add my contribution then, another site where I have found some good quality azn films is mininova.org. I watch more Korean movies than Japanese but I do remember seeing quite a selection of Japanese movies up there.
