Hey all!

I'm really curious how my name will be pronounced and spelled in Japan.
My first name is 'Mirmana' (Mir-maa-naa) and my last name is 'van Melis' (vàn Mee-lis).
The 'a' in van is the Dutch pronounciation, with a short 'a', like in "Watashi". And the double 'e' is pronounced as the English 'a' in 'aid' f.e.

Thanks in advance!

I couldn't resist asking, but how would you say "Heather" with out the "th" sound?

The 'th' sound is replaced by an S/Z sound of some kind.

Heather = ヘザー (Hezaa)
the brilliant green = ザ・ブリリアント・グリーン(Za buririanto guriin)
Heath = ヒース (hiisu)
etc...

Thank you! My husband said I should just go by my initial, but I really don't want to be called "H".
