i R confused...

I was just looking through the beginner lessons, I'm new to the site, and something seemed weird. Beginner series 1 is episodes 1-170, beginner series two is 1-50, then B3 starts at 171. So does that mean it is a direct lead in from the first beginner series?
I'm having a very difficult time figuring out where to start listening since I know some Japanese, I'm taking a class (2nd college semester) and almost done with the second disc of Rosetta Stone, and this just threw me through a loop...

its fine just do the seasons in order regardless of the episode count. It doesnt matter really. The important thing is to listen.
