create on flash cards

Postby thedastardlyone » September 9th, 2009 2:26 am

Can anyone give me a site or some way of making my own flashcards.

I dont like smart.fm I just want to make a list of flashcards that will get long but I dont like programs that just repeat ten words fifty times over.

thanks

Check out Anki. I think it has the best scheduling system of the ones I've tried. There are a number of premade decks that you can download, and it is very easy to create your own ones. There are also some very useful plug-ins, especially the example sentences one, and I find the graphs and statistics feature useful for monitoring my study patterns, as well. It's easy to get through about 200-300 cards in 30-45 minutes with Anki, so you can learn at least 25 new words (production and recognition) a day without breaking much of a sweat.
