I know there are lots of people on mixi. Are there any lang-8.com users here? It's a pretty good site for working on your Japanese reading and writing skills. You post journals, and Japanese people (who are studying English), correct your mistakes. And in return, you fix theirs. They have a rikaichan-like feature and built-in dictionary.

I've posted quite a few entries so far. It's hard, because my vocabulary is limited. I think I'm doing alright, given that japanesepod101 is almost my only source of learning. I'm especially happy when I only make minor mistakes... like using え instead of へ.

I have a lang-8 account too, and it really IS useful.
As you have said, they give corrections on your posts, so it's literally learning from your own mistakes.
