Subscription Coupons Not Working?

Hi Folks,

New user here, on my 7 day trial and I believe it's actually my last day of premium access for free. I've liked the site a lot so far and I've been checking out the subscription options and trying some of the coupons I've found for JapanesePod101.com...

However, none seem to work. I put them in and then I get to the next page and it says 'Congratulations! You're saving 25% or 50% off (or whatever)'. BUT... The actual costs in the drop-down pricing menu never change.

I'm just going to pay by-the-month, because I can't afford to shell out for 3+ in one go right now, so I initially thought perhaps the coupons only worked for the year long subscriptions... However, none of these costs change either.

I'm not willing to put in my credit card details if the prices in the drop down menu are 'wrong', for fear of being charged full price.

Can anyone help me out here? Is there another page after I put in my details that confirms the lowered price or what?

I wish I could help you with this, however I do not deal with the subscriptions for this site, so I would recommend that you email where you'll reach one of our customer service representatives :wink: Sorry to make you go through another step, but just copy and paste exactly what you have written here and they should get back to you soon! I'm glad that you like what you have seen so far :)

Thankyou very much for your reply. I've sent off an email as advised and hopefully I'll recieve a reply soon.

Since posting originally in OSX using Safari, I've tried the subscription pages with Windows Vista and Internet Explorer... However, neither has updated the prices correctly so I'm almost sure it's not a personal technical problem.

Is anybody else experiencing this?

Hi again,

Just a quick update for anyone even remotely interested in the coupon system. It turns out that the drop-down prices never change when you put in a coupon code, but on the next screen(s) you can see that you're only being charged 75%, or 50% of the price or whatever. So it is working!

Thanks to Robert from the JapanesePod101.com team for clarifying this and I've confirmed it myself too, as I'm now a premium subscriber. Yay! :D

Can't wait to get started. MyFeed looks like the best feature ever.
