Postby Fujisaki » May 26th, 2009 3:25 am

What does ~をもっていかれる means?
e.g. テンションをもっていかれました

or ペースをもっていかれてしまいました

Thank you in advance!

いかれる is the passive of いく
もっていく = take away
テンションをもっていかれた = Tension was taken away. (I suffered [experienced] tension being taken away [by something])

A naturalized English translation would probably be something like "It really melted the tension away," etc.
