What happens when I upgrade my subscription?

I have a 12-month basic subscription that expires on 11/11/2009. I'm considering upgrading to Premium. If I do, what happens? Does the price of the premium subscription get pro-rated based on what I've already paid and how much I have left? Or will my subscription be converted to a premium subscription with a shorter duration? Or will I be paying full price? I looked over all the subscription upgrade and details pages but it wasn't exactly clear.

Note: If your upgrade requires a partial refund of an unused portion of an existing subscription or if you wish to change the start date of a subscription, please email your request to

The people at Jpod101 will be more than happy to work with you on your subscription needs. I've never had a problem when I'd needed to change my subscription. I'd suggest though to title your email with something like "subscription upgrade" so they'll be sure to get it.
