Any dictionary programs with handwriting recognition?

Postby sanufi » March 31st, 2009 6:48 am

I'm looking for a dictionary program for Windows that has handwritten recognition. I want to write the word in kanji using my Wacom tablet and have it display the definition. Is there a program like this for Vista? I think there is one called Wenlin for the Chinese language. I'm looking for one for Japanese.

MS-IME has a handwriting recognition function but not a dictionary.
You can input kanji using this system into a text box on dictionary site.

It's simpler than that... Just download any dictionary (I recommend Tagaini Jisho - http://tagaini.net) and enable the Tablet PC Input Panel (TIP) in Vista. Then you'll be able to click on the input text field in the dictionary and a handwriting recognition panel will pop-up.

I'm using it both on my Tablet PC (Dell Latitude XT) and on my PC with a Wacom Tablet :)
