Doomsday meteor collision cheerfully narrated in Japanese

Here is a cheery little computer graphics simulation that has been mentioned on a number of tech web sites of a giant meteor hitting the earth. They are all grumbling because it is narrated in Japanese. It has the look and feel of an NHK production, but the original source is not clearly stated.

Cool video. Too techincal for me to understand, but nice to watch. Also, at the end the screen shows the NHK logo, so that must be where it's from.
