twitter

Not to sure where to put this, but I recently got into use the program called twitter

http://www.twiter.com

Anyway if you follow people that speak japanese then it is a great way to see "real world" japanese. While it takes me a while to translate a lot of it i find it interesting way to learn kana and hirigana.

I am a member of the site but have an application on my desktop called witty that allows me to not have to keep logging into the site.

Anyway if anyone has a twitter account or gets one follow me my profile is

I just started subscribing to feeds for a few random Japanese "twitterers". I love that the entries have to be short, so it's possible for a beginner to try to translate and not feel so overwhelmed.

I'm on Twitter too. I typically post bilingual tweets. It is neat to see all of the Japanese tweets and try to understand them.

Yay! I don't tweet in Japanese, but I'd love to find out about people who do. Searching randomly doesn't work so well...

I found Japanese people on twitter by just browsing the recent tweets while Japanese people are awake and active. There was a ton of them and I was able to find a few who were tweeting stuff I thought I could understand soon.
