Surfing in Japan

Postby damienmgarcia » December 17th, 2008 9:37 am

Hi, I've been to Japan once and really want to go back there to surf. I was wondering if anyone knows of some good places to go and what it's like (water temp, conditions, locals, etc.). Any info anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Arigatou!

Awesome! Another friend of mine suggested Chiba. Thanks for the reply Hiroko!

You want to go to Wakayama in the Kansai area (western Japan). Really great place and not too many people around!

Tahara in Aichi pref. is one of the place where the ASP WQS 6 star is held.

You can see some videos at Tahara.
