Google "Iknow" as one word.

The site will blow you away!

I love Japanesepod101...but this new site is really REALLY awesome...too. :P :D :!:

this is a great discovery... i played a little bit with the site and it looks really cool. i don't understand how to fill in the blanks by typing words though (the help function is somewhat limited).

It is an impressive site. It does something different than JapanesePod though. The site is more about vocabulary acquisition than how to recognise and use grammar constructions (with vocabulary) to have a conversation or verbal interaction.

I do like the dictation module.

It's another site that can help your Japanese progress.
And yet another site to demand your limited time!

With your keyboard set to english type in romaji just as you would in an IME. The dictation module converts it to hiragana.

eg type miru and みる appears, one character per space.

ok, that works fine! i switched my keyboard to hiragana and that does not work.

I actually requested that they put in a touch-typing mode, but they said romaji input is what's used most in Japan. Maybe if more people requested it, they'd take it more seriously?

iKnow is indeed a wonderful resource. Vocab is my weak point right now, and their study method is working very well for me.

I too have gone to this site and tried it out, studying the kana currently. I've also met some great people there through the Friends option - however, my loyalty lies here and the effort Peter-san and crew have put forth for all of us to learn Japanese.

Regardless of my future choosing - I will always call this site my home.

But I can not deny the fact the program with the Flash card type activity is helpful, most of all it keeps track of your progress.

You still can't top: Sakura, Kazunori and Natsuko's lessons here (there are others but I am still going through Season 2).
