You think singing "Konbanwa my Lord, konbanwa..." would be kinda funny.

When you obsessively watch Keyhole TV and the Japanese channels on TVU (when they work) hoping to absorb the language (and getting excited when you do!)
...mostly because this is as close as I come to immersion...

Oh yeah, and when you listen to Jpod101 while working...

That's what I was going to say! *sigh* So far away...

...when you set your region 1 video games to Japanese audio simply because it sounds better

. . . . when you buy Japanese children's books at the used book store, just so you can practice reading the few Japanese words you know.

...when you sub-consciously start counting in Japanese when doing simple maths at work :)

...when you start translating Japanese shows (in my case, Takeshi's Castle) and then start laughing coz you worked out what it was that was so funny :)

When you pause the anime you are watching (in Japanese of course) and get into a 5-10 minute discussion with your wife on the new phrase they used and ask her for examples of it's used.

When you see a beautiful woman on a Japanese sign, and you are too busy trying to read the Kanji to notice her.

When you insist that your friends at work teach you one new "irregular" word every day, Such as - 成敗、苦しゅうない、近よれ

- When you start speaking English with a "romaji" accent.

I need to get-o ...
I had to stop-u...
Please sit-o...

- When you go back to your native country and your friends ask you are talking to them like they are retarded because of your slow, careful, clear pronunciation. (actually happened)

When you slack off in your classes cuz you're spending most of your time studying Japanese.

Or when you are actually studying Japanese in class. (What can I say...I have boring, easy classes this semester and the 2kyuu coming up in 2 months...)

When you realize that that test really is ONLY 2 MONTHS AWAY and begin freaking out...
