my feed : feature request

Postby stiggynet » May 27th, 2008 10:07 pm

Could I add my own name for the my feed I choose?

Here is why... when I put them on my ipod, I want each lesson separated into it's respective level (or feed) and in chronological order. But since they all have the same name "my feed', my different feeds just jumble together into the same place on my ipod.

Does that make sense? Any thoughts?

If you use Itunes, you can use the smart playlist feature to create playlists based on the level (since the level appears in each episode title)you want. I actually do this to separate the main audio track from the grammar audio tracks, so that I can listen to them separately. And of course, you can name the playlists whatever you want. It beats having multiple MyFeed subscriptions, in my opinion.

Oh, I forgot to mention something. Once you create the smart playlist, to arrange the lessons within in chronological order, click on the playlist, select View -> View Options. Add the field "Release Date", and click OK. Once that field is added, click on it to sort in an ascending or descending manner. Sync with your Ipod, and you're set!

Yeah that is exactly what I wanted to do and it works perfect. Thanks!
