Japanese social networks? (such as myspace or facebook)

I was wondering if anyone knew of any social networking websites, such as mysapce or facebook, for the Japanese community. I think it would be cool to set up an account and meet new people. Also, it would provide great practice. Arigatou!

An available cell phone in Japan, eh? Unfortunately, I don't have one of those. Is there anywhere else I'd be able to sign up, where all I need is an e-mail address?

No you don't. You just have to have someone who has already signed in to invite you... :wink:

No you don't. You just have to have someone who has already signed in to invite you...

This used to be true, but apparently as of mid-March is no longer the case - Mixi now requires a keitai email address for all new accounts.
